One day in 1989, as I was just about to take my morning walk, I thought I realized something about God. I really did not know much about God, so I spoke to some people, but they couldn’t explain it to me.

Finally in the summer of 1994, I began to meet with the local church and thoroughly enjoyed the fellowship of the word I received and all the believers being in the one accord. Also, the writings of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee made the Bible and the Lord so real to me.
One day I read Hebrew 1:14, “Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth for service for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?” Then I read Witness Lee’s explanation concerning the matter of the gate of heaven and the heavenly ladder, joining earth to heaven and bringing heaven to earth. He referenced John 1:51, “And He said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, You shall see heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.” The matter of the heavenly ladder referred to the house of God, Bethel. Just this simple explanation of the heavenly ladder really opened my eyes. Now I understood what I had seen in 1989. The vision became suddenly so real to me!
Reading the books of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee gives me peace, real peace, joy, satisfaction, assurance, encouragement, and a deep enjoyment of the Lord. Their ministry helps me to turn to the Lord by focusing on Him—to receive Him, all that He is as the full supply of the life-giving Spirit (1 Corinthians 15:45b).
